Sweet Katelyn came to my studio to take her first birthday portraits to display at her birthday party and for the thank you cards! More than 80 people came to celebrate her big day!! Katlyn took a little bit of time to warm up in front of the camera, so when she finally showed us her sweet little smile, it just melted our hearts!!  Her birthday party theme was pink, gold, ivory, and butterfly. Her mom brought some adorable props with her and knew exactly how she wanted me to capture her portraits! She was the most prepared mom I’ve ever met! I adore all props that we incorporated, especially the first birthday chalkboard and the custom-made gold birthday crown!  Aren’t they adorable?!  As you can see in the last two photos below, Katelyn wasn’t that interested in smashing her cake and did her best to keep herself away from it to avoid getting messy!
