In a blink of an eye, another summer has come and gone – and a new school year has started. My second baby just started his first year of preschool a few weeks ago, time sure flies! I feel like he was barely crawling around a little while ago, but now he’s a little person and going to school!
With both of my littles in school, I’m excited and motivated to connect with old and new clients and dedicate more time to my passion—maternity, newborn, and baby photography. This time in my new location as a newborn photographer in Irvine, CA!
Throughout the summer I’ve been slowly getting back into the swing of work with my husband’s support. I had the privilege of photographing some amazing clients on the weekends when he was with the kids.
It feels so wonderful to be back behind the camera and capturing the memories and milestones that families will treasure for a lifetime. From maternity shoots to newborn photo sessions, and baby portraits to first birthday smash cake, I’m so glad to be back.
One of my favorite families was back in my studio with baby number 3 this summer, and I was so excited to see them all again! They made the 1.5-hour drive to my new location to have me document this special time for them.
Meet Zoie
During the session the sisters were excited. It’s always a fun challenge to photograph a two-year-old, and this day was no different. Because safety is always my first priority during newborn sessions, let me share a little bit about the process. I first photographed the sisters holding an empty bucket. I then photographed Zoie separately, and later, I was able to Photoshop her into the bucket to achieve such a sweet photo of the three sisters.
I first met her family when her oldest sister was born five years ago. Again our paths crossed when baby number 2 joined their family about two years ago, and I was thrilled to hear when they were expecting baby number 3! I love watching families grow. It’s always such an honor when parents come back to me for all of their babies’ newborn sessions.
