Schedule an Appointment
We highly suggest booking early to reserve the day that you prefer, especially weekends.
For mom-to-be, the best time to schedule your maternity session is around 28-34 weeks so that you can show off your beautiful big belly. However, if you carry small or gain little weight, I recommend you to wait until 36-38 weeks. If you have a significant other or other children, they are more than welcome to join in on the session too. Pregnancy is an important milestone to capture with the ones you love.
For newborn, the best time to schedule an appointment is during your pregnancy. We will tenatively set up a session date around your due date. Then, as soon as your baby arrives, we will adjust and finalize your session date. The best time for the newborn session is between 5-10 days after birth, preferably before the baby is 2 weeks old, because they are extremely sleepy and they curl up. If you happen to already deliver your baby, please contact us as soon as possible, so that we can try to squeeze you in for your session immediately.
Newborn session usually takes 3 ~ 4 hours, but we allow extra time so that you will never be rushed. We can take breaks for feeding and diapering as needed. We only book one session per day to focus on getting the best portraits of your baby and your family!
Pick your location
Newborn session will be held in our home studio only. Other sessions can be done at our home studio or on-location, such as, park, beach, etc. For an outdoor session, the light is best in either the early morning or the late afternoon.
What to wear
When planning for your session, clothing should be one of your top priorities. Be comfortable and keep it simple.
Avoid logos, large prints or busy patterns, as they can be a distraction in the photos.
For newborn, we have a lot of knitted hats and diaper covers, as well as headbands, pettyskirts, lace rompers, etc.
For mom-to-be, maternity gowns and wraps are available.
Viewing and Ordering (Post-Session)
Your portraits will be ready for viewing approximately 1-2 weeks following your session at an ordering consultation.
