Look who is one! Little Ella is not so little anymore…  I first met her at her newborn portrait session, so it was amazing to see how much she has grown in just one year!  To help celebrate her 1st birthday, we captured the moment with some family, sibling, and 1st birthday cake smash portraits!

As you can see in the first image that shows the behind-the-scenes, it never fails that little kids will start acting up and running around when you want them to sit still for a second in order to take nice family portraits =)   They also have an amazing ability to look everywhere, BUT the camera when they know you’re trying to catch their eye.

Sometimes I have one year olds that love cake, other times, it takes them awhile to find their groove. Ella was the later type and she wasn’t sure what to do when she saw the cake. Luckily, she has her big brother, Efren, who came to the rescue! We had done his cake smash session when he turned one, so he remembered what to do!  He was ready to jump in from the beginning of the cake smash session and her grandma literally had to hold him back, lol!  And…he ended up smashing his face into the cake!!!

Thanks to Ella’s beautiful family for another hilarious portrait session!  Also, special thanks to her grandma for baking the beautiful cake for the session!  I look forward to seeing your adorable kids grow!
