I had such a great time meeting and photographing this wonderful growing family during both maternity and newborn portrait sessions! I love getting to know my clients as much as possible before they entrust me to hold and photograph their precious babies and having a maternity session is a great way to do this! This sweet couple came to me for their pregnancy portraits about a month before they welcomed their baby #2. They told me that they didn’t have their maternity/newborn portraits taken by professional photographer for their older son. As soon as I heard this, I was so happy that they decided to professionally document their sweet moments this time – it could be their last chance, right? Who knows… I hope that one day, the mom will look back at these images and remember this amazing brief time in her life! I also knew that I MUST capture their siblings photos and make sure to involve the older brother during the newborn session.
Baby Arden arrived and I got to meet him when he was only 10 days new. We started off with the siblings shots and his 4 years old big brother, Adrien, cooperated with everything I asked him to do and he was such a proud big brother! I think that this is why this image of them together is my favorite and it also was for his parents! I am so glad that they decided to get a canvas of this image to decorate their home.
We then focused on Baby Arden for the remainder of the photo session. Look how handsome this little man is! He slept and posed very well throughout the session and was an absolute dream to work with! Before the photo session, I always ask my clients what they are planning to do with their portraits. If the thought is wall portrait, I would highly recommend my clients to coordinate the props used in the photo session with the color of the rooms where they are thinking the portrait will be displayed. Also, if they are planning to display multiple images, I always recommend to make sure that the colors are coordinated and will go well together.
Are you expecting? Book your newborn session during your pregnancy rather than waiting until your baby is born! We only accept a limited number of newborn sessions per week! Newborn photography is best done within the first 14 days.
