I love maternity sessions, and this one was especially an honor because I got to photograph a fellow photographer! There is quite a story behind this mother-daughter maternity photoshoot, so keep reading to find out how it all played out!
The Story Behind the Photoshoot
Kaori was expecting a baby boy, and her baby was ready to arrive at any moment during this session! This tough momma kept her composure so we could capture all of her maternal beauty, even as she was facing uncertainty.
Kaori spent a few days in the hospital as they closely monitored her in case of early delivery. She had to cancel her maternity session as scheduled due to this circumstance. They ended up discharging her a few days before her due date and we were able to squeeze her maternity session in, just in the nick of time! I, of course, was nervous knowing that her baby could arrive at any time, but really enjoyed the opportunity to capture these final days of her pregnancy.
What was even more special was including soon-to-be big sis in the session! That look on her face shows the pure joy she had about the upcoming arrival of her baby brother.
