Outdoor Field Maternity Session and Newborn Studio Session

I had a great time photographing this gorgeous mom, Christine, before and after her baby girl arrived.  Christine wanted to do the outdoor field maternity session and wear something in cream.  We met at this gorgeous field about an hour before the sunset and she chose to wear those two maternity dresses that I brought for her.  I was thrilled to see how happy Christine was to see her maternity portraits and was honored that I was able to capture such an extremely exciting time in her life!  Expectant-moms are always too busy doing things such as decorating the nursing room, doing loads of laundry to clean the newborns’ clothes, packing for their hospital stay, etc., to welcome their new baby, but why not pause and enjoy a maternity session and come away with memories to cherish what it was like at the start of your greatest adventure yet!

Newborn Studio Session

And sweet baby girl, Laila is here!!   She came to visit me at 2 weeks new and was such a great model! Isn’t she ADORABLE?  Her mom selected cream, blush pink, and aqua colors to use for her newborn session.  She also wanted to incorporate the angel wings. I often get asked by my clients if they have to bring their own props.  I provide EVERYTHING from headbands, wraps, blanket and other props to style each session based on the colors that they choose and their preferences.

Thank you, Laila’s family, for letting me capture these fleeting moments.  I am glad that you all have these portraits to remember  how tiny and curly Laila used to be.  I look forward to seeing her grow!

Are you expecting a bundle of joy? Are you interested in an outdoor field maternity session and a newborn studio session? Whether this is your first experience as an expectant mother or your third time around, these 40 weeks are one of the most remarkable times in your life. The feeling of a new life growing inside them makes every new mother glow and shine. The best time to schedule your maternity session is around 28-34 weeks so that you can show off your beautiful big belly. However, if you carry small or gain little weight, I recommend you to wait until 36-38 weeks. Your session may be just individual portraits of you or include your spouse/partner and/or your kids, including pets. Clients are welcome to use our maternity gowns during the sessions.  Newborn sessions are typically held within the first 12 days of a baby’s life. It’s never too soon to book your newborn session!
