Happy Birthday Lucy! This little pumpkin is turning one and today is her birthday party! I always love working with this adorable little girl and her awesome parents who I’m lucky enough to call friends. What a fun pink pumpkin patch themed session with the cutest outfits! Her creative mom handmade the tutu skirt and the pumpkin headband just for her! Lucy loved her cake so much that she smashed and smashed and smashed until the cake looked like it exploded!
Thanks Lucy for the fun session and for inviting us to your birthday party! My daughter and I look forward to celebrating your big milestone today!
Here is the storyboard that I designed, which will also be displayed at Lucy’s birthday party!
Also, here are a couple of adorable images from her newborn session that I captured about a year ago. It’s amazing to see how much she has grown in just one year!

This handsome Evan came for his professional portrait session at 100 days old with his mom and grandma who adore him. When he arrived, he was a little fussy…… hungry and/or sleepy babies never look happy in the portraits, so rather than continuing the session, I asked his mom to feed him and let him take a nap if he wanted to. It was a great idea, because the moment he woke up, he gave us the cutest smiles!!!! Plus, I got to know his mom and grandma a little better while he was napping. Baby Evan had a strong neck. He was able to lift his head up high while he was on his tummy. He also loved to roll over from his back to his tummy!! Wait… I thought babies at this stage can rollover from their tummy to their back, but not the other way around until they are 4-5 months old?! I asked his mom and she said the doctor told her the same thing!! I am glad that I was able to capture the moment he rolled over back-to-front and create this adorable storyboard for his family!
Happy 100 days,Evan! We had fun celebrating your 100 day milestone at the photo session!
Enjoy the peeks from his session!
I encourage my clients to book their newborn portrait session within 2 weeks after birth so that their babies are super sleepy and can curl up into the sweet little poses. They usually have perfect skin at that time (before their baby acnes started to show). But having a session within 2 weeks is not always possible for many reasons. I have photographed babies who are over 4 weeks old (aka. older newborns) and gorgeous newborn photos can certainly be captured at anytime. We just have to work harder with more patience as babies are more awake and alert.
Baby Clement surprised his parents by arriving a month early. His generous aunty contacted me to purchase a gift certificate for his parents when he was already a month + old. At 6 weeks old, Clement came to visit me and he did really well as an older newborn. He took a while to get to sleep, but once he did, he was pretty easy to position. While I was photographing him, his sweet mama told me that she was in bed rest for 2 months before he arrived and she wasn’t prepared to deliver Clement when she did. Hearing the story about how much his parents went through to have this precious little baby boy made me want to work harder to ensure that they will have some great portraits of their little miracle to treasure for a life time. It is an honor to be a part of capturing this amazing bundle of joy, and documenting one of the most special times in life.
Welcome to the world, Clement, and congratulations to his family. So glad he arrived safely and that he is healthy! It was a pleasure to meet and photograph you all!

Baby Noah is FINALLY here and a family of 3 became a family of 4!! I have been documenting this family since their family dog, Lulu, announced her parents’ pregnancy news. I also had the opportunity to photograph their maternity portraits. This time, Lulu came back to my studio with her new little brother!! She was so proud to be a BIG sister that she even winked at me =) I just adore how their sibling portraits turned out!
Baby Noah was welcomed with much love by his wonderful family. I had the pleasure of meeting this handsome boy on his 11th day of life. He was sleeping and posing peacefully throughout the session, but at one point, I happened to get a peek at his beautiful eyes. And then, he looked straight at me through my lens as if he was saying, “Are we done yet?!” (second from the last image). The look of his face made his parents and I laugh so hard!!
Congratulations to Noah’s family! … and thank you for another fun photo session!! I look forward to seeing Baby Noah and Lulu both grow together!
