New Baby + New Home
Yes, I have been MIA for a long time!! My life has changed dramatically since my last blog post (almost 2 years ago!!). My second baby, Nathan, was born in April 2017. Unlike a few years ago when my first, Amelia, was born and I returned back to work after 3 months, our family made a HUGE decision to relocate from Los Angeles to Orange County a few months later. This was our family’s first big move. We moved into a new build, so it took much longer than expected to unpack and settle in. There were a lot of issues that we had to take care of with the builder, including options that the builder forgot to install, imperfections throughout the house, and stains on our brand new carpeting (the whole floor had to be replaced!). Unpacking was a challenge in itself. I didn’t realize how much stuff we had!! And finally, we are getting our landscaping done, just in time to meet our one year deadline with the homeowners association!
Excited to be Back Soon!!
With all this going on (and taking care of 2 kids!), I decided to be a stay-at-home mom for a while until we get settled down, so that I can spend quality time with my little baby before he goes off to preschool in January 2019. However, 2019 is just around the corner and I’m definitely excited about returning back to my passion – meeting and photographing new and returning clients! I have been setting up a new studio space and I am I look forward to welcoming new families and gorgeous little babies. Although I won’t be booking any sessions until 2019, I am offering Christmas Tree Farm Mini Sessions in Silverado on October 21st and 27th from 3:00pm to 5:00pm. This will be a great opportunity to get holiday pictures of your family in a natural outdoor setting. I will be announcing more details tomorrow, so stay tuned!
This is my baby boy, Nathan, with his proud big sister, Amelia, when he was 22 days old. I wish I was able to capture him within 2 weeks old, but I was still recovering… Gosh! He used to be so tiny… Now he’s walking around and loves to create a big mess with his toys all over the place!
